Wedding – Kasey & Doug

I recently had the honor of photographing a wedding just right down the street from my house. Thus, it was a very easy event to accommodate. It turned out that the clients also live right down the street from me.

This is a detail shot that I like to capture at every wedding. I’m intentionally blurring the background so that the focus is on the ring.
The Ring

This image will be some what of an heirloom for Doug & Kasey. The ‘68 Chevy Chevelle is this image is a gift from Doug’s parents. It is the original car that his parents drove away in right after their wedding.

With the bright water as the background, I decided that this image looks more dramatic as a Black & White.
The Kiss

I try to offer every client a “Break Away” moment for portraits. Here, we slip away from the crowd and find an area for the Bride and Groom to relax and have a few fun moments to themselves.

No wedding is complete without the traditional removal of the Garter and the Bouquet Toss.

…and finally, the grand finale of the Bride and Groom leaving the reception.
The Grand Finale.

My warmest thanks go out to Kasey and Doug for allowing me to be apart of their very special day!

Wedding – Amanda & Brad

Posted in Weddings on December 13th, 2007 by Administrator

Well the time has finally arrived that I am able to update my Blogs!

This posting is about my recent wedding assignment of Amanda and Brad. I had photographed Amanda’s Bridal portraits back in May and now the big wedding day had arrived.

Amanda & Brad

This event was held at a very neat location, the Craig-Heard Hall in Downtown McKinney. Their theme was set in a 50’s style lounge with music from the greats like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Big Bands. All the tables were already set to the reception style layout which gave the atmosphere of the audience watching a lounge stage production. VERY COOL!

The Ceremony

As I have previously stated, Flower Girls are very adorable.

Flower Girls

Here, I am incorporating a photo journalistic style of capturing the motion of the group as we moved from one location to another prior to the ceremony.

Walking Back

I found Amanda to have amazing eyes. Thus, I wanted to capture their beauty with this tight crop image. I had ask her to pulled the veil across her face and lowered it just below her eyes.

Amanda's Eyes

During the preparations, I saw Amanda blotting her lipstick on a piece of napkin and this gave me a GREAT idea!

Blotting

…I quickly told her not to throw the napkin way and handed her a pen. With pen in hand, I asked her to write a note to her Groom, Brad.

TheMessage

I immediately delivered the message to him and captured his reaction…

Brad's Reaction

Finally, I can’t close this posting without exposing the very outrageous and funny people that I get to meet at weddings!

Crazy People

Congratulation to Amanda & Brad.
